International tour stops of his 2017 work “TITANS” included Théâtre de la Ville, Festival TransAmériques, Berlin’s Tanz im August, and the Hong Kong Arts Festival.
His new work “ELENIT” is an international co-production (Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal & Spain) that premièred in 2019 at Onassis STEGI and is touring round the world throughout 2020 and 2021, alongside “RELIC” and “TITANS”.
In 2016, Laskaridis was awarded an inaugural Pina Bausch Fellowship.
Founded by Euripides Laskaridis in 2009, the OSMOSIS performing arts company is a
supportive pool of artists who come together in differing combinations from project to
project.
osmosis [ɒzmˈəʊsɪs]
a process where liquid molecules push through a membrane to equalise both sides / the
reciprocal influence of two opposed elements / a gradual spread – or unconscious
assimilation – of ideas and knowledge / a subtle mingling / from the ancient Greek ōsmos –
“a thrust through”
OSMOSIS explores everyday life – the little details, the collective subconscious, the imaginary, and the absurd – with the company’s gaze fixed firmly on
unexpected slants of the human condition.
OSMOSIS works flirt with transformation – often into the ridiculous, the
humorous and the grotesque – in the belief that this territory can offer startling
insights into deeper truths.
