“RELIC” is an international co-production that had its world première in Barcelona in 2015 before going on to appear at another 30 international venues and festivals. A journey of many transformations, it is a path towards poetry opened up by means of an otherworldly cabaret that ends up somewhere disarmingly human. An acclaimed performance created by Euripides Laskaridis and the OSMOSIS performing arts company. The performance tests the limits of both audiences and the performer. The Latin root of the word “relic” (“relinque”) denotes that which is left behind; the raw ingredients of this world might appear random and insignificant, but they are transformed – through the use of all that is ridiculous and exaggerated – into a work that takes you by surprise.
